About the position

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is hiring a Service Technician / Mechanic to work with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, and cranes. The position involves assessing, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing damaged or worn parts on a variety of vocational and utility trucks and equipment. The technician will work Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and possess their own mechanics tools. Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged/worn parts on a variety of vocational/utility trucks & equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium/heavy duty trucks, with a background in hydraulics and electrical.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor to track costs.
• Submit all work/repair orders to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained.
• Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must have your own tools.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment (construction, farm, military).
• General mechanical aptitude/knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document repair activity.

Nice-to-haves

• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus.
• 3 plus years maintenance and repair of Utility Trucks and Equipment.
