Essential functions of the role include conducting safety inspections of environmental rooms and incoming equipment, performing mechanical repairs on various hospital equipment, and executing plumbing repairs. The Mechanic will also engage in carpentry maintenance activities, electrical maintenance tasks, and refrigeration maintenance. Regular inspections and maintenance of hospital mechanical systems are required, along with the ability to identify and rectify defects in equipment and unsafe working conditions.
