About the position
As a Mechanic at C-2 Utility Contractors, you will be responsible for the specialized repair and maintenance of a fleet of diesel vehicles and heavy equipment used in telecommunications construction. This role emphasizes safety, compliance, and the ability to work in various environments, including congested or remote areas.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair auto, diesel, small engine, and heavy equipment.
- Perform routine oil changes as needed.
- Maintain service records and additional documentation for DOT compliance.
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Work in congested or remote areas as service calls dictate.
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
- Valid Driver's License (Class A Commercial Drivers License preferred).
- Working knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Experience/working knowledge in auto, diesel, small engine, and heavy equipment repair.
