About the position

Randstad is seeking mid to senior level Mechanical Analysis Engineers to support a client in the space industry. This remote position involves analyzing legacy parts and assemblies to ensure they meet current standards, focusing on design accuracy, tolerance stack-ups, and basic calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical analysis on legacy parts and assemblies to determine compliance with current standards.
  • Scrutinize designs for accuracy and adherence to best practices.
  • Analyze tolerance stack-ups and conduct basic hand calculations to validate legacy designs.
  • Utilize ANSYS for mechanical analysis and simulations.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Finite Element Method (FEM) for stress analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Analysis.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS software.
  • Extensive experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Finite Element Method (FEM).
  • Experience using NX CAD for design purposes.
  • Knowledge of tolerance stack-ups and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the space or aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter software.
  • Exposure to NASA standards 5020, 5019, 5017, 5016.
  • Experience with CREO software.
  • Thermal analysis experience.
