The Mechanical Assembler I position involves the accurate assembly of sub-electro and mechanical components into higher-level assemblies. The role requires building multi-level assemblies according to written instructions, drawings, and visual aids that comply with IPC standards and By Light's workmanship requirements. The assembler will also be involved in the network, installation, and integration of these assemblies through the final completion of By Light's product offerings.

  • Accurately assemble sub electro and mechanical components for builds into higher level assemblies.
  • Build multi-level assemblies according to written instructions, drawings, and visual aids that comply with IPC standards.
  • Operate power and hand tools used in an Electro/Mechanical environment.
  • Complete sub and higher-level assembly builds from moderate to complex drawings and work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failure modes effectively.
  • Use test equipment, jigs, and fixtures to validate product quality and reliability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement events and drive improvement opportunities in products and processes.
  • Collaborate with team members and support teams to gain knowledge and experience in By Light's methodologies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to complete on-the-job training and perform well in a capabilities evaluation.
  • Willingness to learn mechanical assembly build and read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Moderate level of computer proficiency.
