About the position

The Mechanical Assembler IV - Team Lead position at Collins Aerospace involves leading a team in the assembly of high-pressure oxygen cylinders in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of assembly processes, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to interpret technical documents. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in the assembly of high-pressure oxygen cylinders.
• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, and measuring equipment.
• Maintain inventory of products at work stations.
• Perform quality checks and identify product defects.
• Rework and repair assembled equipment according to specifications.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Lift up to 25 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
