About the position
The Mechanical Assembler position at The Partners Associates involves the assembly of extrusion frames and minimal electro-mechanical assembly. The role requires following work instructions to perform repetitive assembly operations while ensuring quality work is produced within specified time standards. The assembler will utilize various hand tools and collaborate with teammates to integrate large subassemblies into final products.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly of extrusion frames.
- Conduct minimal electro-mechanical assembly using proper grounding techniques.
- Follow work instructions to execute repetitive assembly operations.
- Produce quality work to specified time standards.
- Execute in-process checks using visual inspection and checklists.
- Participate in cross-functional training to reduce takt time.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex keys, drills, saws, tape measures, and fixtures.
- Coordinate with teammates to manually integrate large subassemblies into final assembly.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- High School Education or GED required.
- Some manufacturing experience desired.
- Proficient in reading drawings and measuring using a tape measure.
- Ability to operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.
- Able to lift, squat, bend, reach, and stand as work requires.
- Experience in assembly preferred (1 year).
- Mechanical knowledge preferred (1 year).
