About the position
The Mechanical Assembler position at The Panther Group involves assembling extrusion frames and performing minimal electro-mechanical assembly. The role requires following work instructions to execute repetitive assembly operations while ensuring quality and adherence to time standards. The assembler will work closely with teammates to integrate large sub-assemblies into final products and may be required to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of extrusion frames.
- Perform minimal electro-mechanical assembly using proper grounding techniques.
- Follow work instructions to perform repetitive assembly operations.
- Produce quality work to specified time standards.
- Execute in-process checks using visual inspection and checklists.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex keys, drills, saws, tape measures, and fixtures.
- Coordinate with teammates to manually integrate large sub-assemblies into final assembly.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- High School Education or GED.
- Some manufacturing experience desired.
- Proficient in reading drawings and measuring using a tape measure.
- Ability to operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.
- Able to lift, squat, bend, reach, and stand as work requires.
