About the position

Under direct supervision, performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. Requires use of a few simple hand tools. Ensure work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is compliant with all company, city, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to set up, assemble, and load parts while using hand and machine tools properly, and follow procedures, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
  • Maintain quality standards by building defect-free parts, meeting customer deadlines, and complying with quality systems.
  • Develop skills through training, certifications, and participation in audits, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keep materials, equipment, and work areas clean and organized while completing tasks to support department objectives.
  • Report progress, quality issues, and updates to supervisors, ensuring adherence to standards and re-instructing as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with a year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and a willingness to learn and optimize production methods.
  • Basic proficiency in blueprint reading or a willingness to develop this skill under guidance.
