About the position

The Manufacturing Technician role involves mechanical assembly and operation of vacuum furnaces, focusing on the assembly of various components and systems. The position requires hands-on work, including field servicing and inspections, with a commitment to quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly and operation of vacuum furnaces.
• Assembly of vacuum piping, frames, insulation packages, gas distribution systems, instrumentation wiring, and power distribution systems.
• Operation and testing of vacuum furnaces including loading, monitoring, unloading, and system maintenance between runs.
• Fluid evaluation and changes as necessary, and insulation repair/replacement as required.
• Field service of vacuum furnaces and components.
• Shipping and receiving, including incoming order inspections.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical skills, including working with hand tools, cranes, lifts, and fork trucks.
• Background working with Swagelok tubes and fittings.
• Ability to work off piping & instrument diagrams and assembly drawings.
• Computer skills: MS Office.
• Must be a US citizen.
• At least 2 years experience working with large scale industrial equipment.
