About the position

The Mechanical Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the mechanical assembly operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership skills to supervise and train employees, ensuring that projects are completed accurately and on time. The supervisor will also interact with the engineering department and must possess a solid understanding of mechanical assembly, metal welding, and related trades.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train employees during manufacturing operations.
• Provide feedback and analysis to employees.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately for others.
• Perform assigned projects and delegate tasks as necessary.
• Meet deadlines and address unique challenges effectively.
• Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in large projects.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools proficiently.
• Maintain open communication with all departments within the company.
• Plan and schedule time and resources effectively for self and others.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist others at all times.
• Organize and maintain records and documentation.

Requirements

• 5 years or more experience in mechanical assembly supervision.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and email.
