As a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Closures Architecture at Tesla Motors, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of innovative closure systems for our vehicles. Additionally, you will be involved in prototype development and testing, providing hands-on support to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the testing phase. You will also be expected to stay current with industry trends and advancements in closure technologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of our design processes. Responsibilities

• Design and develop closure systems for Tesla vehicles, including doors, hoods, and trunks.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of closure components.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible and manufacturable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with design validation techniques, including FEA and CFD.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
