This position is based in Broomfield, Colorado, where you will have the opportunity to develop and design cryogenic systems while collaborating with scientists and engineers in a cross-functional team environment. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating mechanical designs with electrical, cryogenic, vacuum, and magnetic systems. You will inform approaches for planning, executing, and validating analyses to enable design maturation and realization. Your contributions will be crucial in documenting and communicating results across a broad array of disciplines, including program management. This position requires U.S. citizenship due to contractual requirements, and you must either currently have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance. Honeywell offers a competitive salary range of $80,800.00 - $101,000.00, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer-subsidized medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, a 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, employee assistance programs, and educational assistance. Responsibilities

  • Develop and design cryogenic systems considering thermal, vacuum/pressure, and other pertinent factors.
  • Integrate mechanical designs with electrical, cryogenic, vacuum, and magnetic systems.
  • Inform approaches for planning, executing, and validating analyses to enable design maturation and realization.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers in a cross-functional team environment, documenting and communicating results across various disciplines, including program management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 3 years of experience utilizing CAD tools such as Solidworks.
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with cryogenics, cryogenic systems, vacuum chambers, and heat exchangers.
  • Experience working with systems and processes that enable quality, from concept up through Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP).
  • Experience with design/configuration management tools such as Solidworks and PDM or equivalent.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) methods and tools.
