About the position

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing manufacturing tooling and equipment for production and engineering development projects. This role involves creating and modifying drawings to meet production needs, ensuring parts are manufactured correctly, and providing technical support to various teams.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing tooling and equipment for production and engineering development projects.
• Create new and modify existing drawings for production needs.
• Work with Supply Chain to ensure parts are manufactured correctly and delivered on schedule.
• Provide requested drawings to Engineers and Technicians.
• Research equipment and materials best suited for applications based on provided requirements.
• Interface with production to update design requests and modifications.
• Provide technical support for part delivery and quality.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of SolidWorks experience
• 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience interfacing across multiple teams
• Ability to work well in a team with other mechanical designers
• Strong communication skills with Supply Chain and suppliers.

Nice-to-haves

• Prototyping design review and iterations
• Experience with 3D Printing
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
