About the position

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ZDS Design/Consulting Services, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of HVAC systems. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including the creation of detailed drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and conducting HVAC commissioning. You will also be involved in investigating HVAC system failures and optimizing energy usage to enhance system performance. Your strong background in HVAC and Refrigeration will be essential as you apply mechanical engineering principles to various projects. In this position, you will utilize your diagnostic testing experience to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement. You will be responsible for conducting cost analyses and performing research to support project development. Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools will be necessary for creating accurate designs and documentation. Additionally, you will coordinate with team members to ensure project objectives are met, and you will apply your knowledge of psychrometrics, system loads, and pump calculations to deliver effective solutions. Technical report writing will also be a key component of your role, as you will need to document findings and recommendations clearly and concisely. This position requires a willingness to travel to client locations, which may involve site assessments and project meetings. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1.5 years of experience in the field of mechanical design engineering.
  • Engineer-Intern (E.I.) License required.
