About the position

The Mechanical Engineer position at Anduril Industries involves generating conceptual design layouts for new hardware and upgrades, utilizing CAD software. The role requires interfacing with fabrication and assembly teams, designing and testing various mechanical systems, and managing configuration at the system or subsystem level. The position is critical in supporting the company's mission to enhance military capabilities through advanced technology.

Responsibilities

• Generate conceptual design layouts for new hardware and upgrades using CAD.
• Generate detailed production drawings using GD&T and perform tolerance stackup analysis.
• Interface with vendor or in-house fabrication and assembly teams during design and prototype hardware builds.
• Incorporate lessons learned into design changes and drawing revisions.
• Design and test composite structures, machined components, and propulsion fluid systems.
• Update drawings to support manufacturing.
• Responsible for configuration management at the system or subsystem level.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with detailed mechanical systems from cradle to grave, including structures, mechanisms, fluid systems, and electromechanical systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., Unigraphics, Solidworks).
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment where products are manufactured.
