About the position

An experienced Mechanical Design Engineer is needed to support the Operational Fires (OpFires) Program in the Tactical Missiles segment of MFC's Advanced Programs Line of Business in Grand Prairie, TX. This program focuses on the design, build, and test of a demonstration missile, as well as the development of a tactical/objective missile design. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult design issues. Responsibilities will include the creation of detailed component and subsystem concept designs, and maturing those designs to released CREO models following Model Based Definition practices. The role requires a strong background in mechanical design engineering, particularly with ProE CREO experience and knowledge of Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool navigation. Candidates must also be proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office tools. Additionally, knowledge and experience with the application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and the ability to perform tolerance analysis are essential for this position. While an active Secret Clearance is preferred, candidates who have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance will also be considered. This position is a 12-month contract, and the pay range is between $60.00 and $72.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
