Mechanical Design Engineer

About the position

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for executing the design of gearboxes using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. You will execute routine analyses of gearboxes using vested methods and technologies and/or contribute to technological developments in teams under supervision. Additionally, you will engage in customizing projects to client needs and convey technical information both to clients and to colleagues from other functions. You will deliver products as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Executing the design of gearboxes using sound engineering principles.
• Adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
• Executing routine analyses of gearboxes using vested methods and technologies.
• Contributing to technological developments in teams under supervision.
• Customizing projects to client needs.
• Conveying technical information to clients and colleagues from other functions.
• Delivering products as part of a cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD Software (working knowledge of CREO is desired).
• Experience in gear design (desired).
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.
