About the position

The Mechanical Design Engineer at PSG Cincinnati will be a key member of the Engineering Team, focusing on the development of New Product Development projects. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs for chemical dispensers and similar products, ensuring they are cost-effective, easy to manufacture, and marketable. The engineer will manage projects from conception to production, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technical tasks to solve engineering problems using analytical and experimental skills.
• Design mechanical and electromechanical products from concept to production, including static and dynamic-loaded injection-molded components.
• Develop new designs based on product specifications.
• Investigate and implement productivity and cost-saving projects.
• Create and maintain complex design files (3D & 2D) using CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
• Develop test plans and conduct lab work to validate concepts and prototypes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Validate solutions using engineering techniques such as FEA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Communicate technical information effectively to peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Knowledge of plastic materials, fluid mechanics, and mechanical engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and experience with static and dynamic FEA.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and take direction.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
