About the position

The Mechanical Design Engineer will work in a dynamic and diverse environment, focusing on engineering calculations related to building systems, including heat transfer and fluid dynamics. The role involves CAD work, site visits, and collaboration within a small team to tackle various engineering challenges. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can break down complex problems and is eager to learn and contribute to innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations related to heat transfer and fluid dynamics for building systems.
• Conduct CAD work and site visits as part of project development.
• Collaborate with a small team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Utilize DesignBuilder for energy modeling and building load calculations.
• Manipulate REVIT models as needed, although it is not a primary focus.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or proven track record in performing engineering calculations.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
• Ability to run engineering calculations related to building systems.
• Familiarity with energy modeling tools like DesignBuilder.
• Experience with programming is a plus, but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with REVIT modeling.
• Recent programming experience within the last 2 years.
