About the position

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter with proven modeling and drafting experience utilizing SolidWorks for a 3-4 month contract position. In this role, you will work closely with other engineering team members to support product development and design revisions. The position requires a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards, as well as the ability to perform accurate database entry and manage the revision of product Bills of Materials (BOMs). Additionally, you will be responsible for the upkeep of drawings necessary for manufacturing processes. This is an immediate need, and the position is fully onsite in Overland Park, KS.

Responsibilities

• Utilize SolidWorks for modeling and drafting tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering team members for product development.
• Implement design revisions as required.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T standards.
• Perform accurate database entry related to product specifications.
• Manage and revise product Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Maintain and update drawings for manufacturing.

Requirements

• Proven experience with SolidWorks modeling and drafting.
• Strong understanding of GD&T standards.
• Experience with database entry and management.
• Ability to manage and revise Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Proficient in creating and revising technical drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
