About the position

The Mechanical Drafter/Designer at CORTEC Manifold Systems is responsible for preparing product layouts, detail drawings, and design documentation for flow control applications in the Oil & Gas industry. This role involves interpreting customer requirements, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position is based in Port Allen, LA, and offers a full-time schedule with a flexible work option.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic product layout, detail (fabrication) and design drawings as assigned.
• Interpret customer requirements and apply industry and company standards to provide project design, documentation and technical documents.
• Confer with engineering and design staff to determine design modifications and the specification and selection of mechanical components.
• Consult with other departments on designs, problems and questions.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Design/Drafting or related field from a two-year college or trade school; or three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient usage of SolidWorks is required.
• Working knowledge of ANSI Drafting Techniques and Geometric Tolerance.
• Advanced Computer Skills.

Nice-to-haves
