About the position

CheckSum LLC is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join its design team, responsible for creating designs and technical drawings for electronic test equipment fixtures. This role involves collaboration with engineers to enhance manufacturing systems and processes, ensuring the successful integration of mechanical and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Create designs and technical drawings for mechanical devices and equipment.
• Perform mechanical design of test fixtures using CAM software, specifically Test Sight Developer.
• Communicate with electrical engineers and wiring technicians to integrate electrical components with mechanical features.
• Utilize 2D CAD software to generate detailed drawings for the assembly team.
• Create 3D models of fixture parts and assemblies using 3D software.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required, some college courses in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with demonstrated design capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and creative thinking skills.
• Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for solving problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong PC skills including experience with CAD.
• Basic knowledge of FEA and strain analysis preferred.
