About the position

The Mechanical Drafter will prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, utilizing CAD software to develop design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment. This role involves collaboration with other team members to resolve design issues and ensure accurate specifications are created for components and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices.
• Develop design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls using CAD software.
• Coordinate with other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems.
• Resolve design or other problems as they arise.
• Ensure detailed specifications for components or machinery are developed accurately.

Requirements

• Mechanical design/drafting experience, preferably in heavy equipment or automotive.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and PTC Creo.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Basic knowledge of relevant computer applications such as CADD.
