Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
• Perform load calculations.
• Select systems and equipment.
• Work closely with the project team and communicate with project managers.
• Learn and maintain the drafting standards as established by the design team.
• Coordinate documentation to ensure information is correct.
• Assist with site surveys.
• Assist with preparation of project proposals, contracts, reports, and specifications.
• Continuously expand knowledge and skills necessary to design MEP/FP systems.

Requirements

• B. S. in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering; or technical degree in drafting/design; or related course work.
• Three or more years of experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Fundamentals of Engineering/E.I.T. certification a plus.
• Knowledge/Understanding of LEED and Green Building practices a plus.
• Knowledge of the Building Codes, ASHRAE Standards, and National Fire Protection Association Standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work in office or remotely, as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Fundamentals of Engineering/E.I.T. certification.
• Knowledge/Understanding of LEED and Green Building practices.
