About the position

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Solutions office in Baltimore, MD. This position is part of the fastest growing division within our company, which specializes in sustainable and high-performance building engineering. As a Mechanical Engineer in this role, you will be involved in various phases of our projects, working closely with project managers to deliver exceptional results for our clients. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives on helping clients and possesses a strong technical background, particularly in HVAC design and commissioning, which will facilitate a smooth transition into energy engineering within our team. In this role, you will conduct building and system audits, perform energy analysis and savings calculations, and write detailed reports on various aspects of the projects you are involved in. You will also attend meetings with project managers and clients to discuss project progress and address any concerns. Responsibilities

  • Conduct building and system audits
  • Perform energy analysis and savings calculations
  • Write reports on various aspects of the project
  • Attend meetings with the Project Manager and clients
  • Assist and support the Project Manager in various tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred
  • Strong background in HVAC design and commissioning
