Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems including HVAC systems for building applications.
- Plan and schedule new equipment or retrofit existing equipment such as air handlers and chillers.
- Design plumbing and sprinkler fire protection systems.
- Perform calculations related to mechanical systems.
- Survey existing site conditions and plan new work accordingly.
- Conduct construction observations.
- Apply local and national building codes including building, mechanical, plumbing, fire, and fuel gas codes.
- Engage in business travel for client meetings and field surveys as needed.
- Participate in seminars and training events to stay current with industry trends.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
- Must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or be willing to pass the exam within the first 60 days of employment.
- Requires the ability to pass background checks, security screenings or drug testing as required by our clients and/or Federal contracts.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
