About the position

The mechanical engineer drafter will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and conducting related analyses for flight-critical avionics systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and analytical skills to ensure efficient and effective project execution, suitable for both prototype and production-level designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for avionics systems.
• Conduct related analyses for flight-critical systems.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure timely delivery of designs.
• Utilize MCAD software for modeling and drafting mechanical assemblies.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Aerospace Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics.
• Experience with rapid prototype tooling.
• Experience with production tooling.
• Experience in project management.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM.
• Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Catia for modeling and drafting.
• Thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.
• Mechanical stack-up analysis.
• Structural Load Analysis.
• Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA or Confluence.
