This Mechanical Engineer will become a key player in my client's dynamic Engineering Department! You'll be at the heart of innovation, driving continuous improvement, crafting cutting-edge production equipment, and ensuring top-notch fixturing and fabrication for machines and facilities. Your passion for hands-on problem-solving will shine as you contribute to groundbreaking product development! In this role, you will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for designing parts and assemblies using SolidWorks for 3D printing and contracted machining/fabrication. You will generate detailed drawings for machining and fabrication, ensuring precise design tolerances, and oversee the sourcing of parts and materials, collaborating with external vendors to keep projects on schedule. You will apply rapid prototyping and an iterative design process to enhance manufacturing by analyzing existing equipment and processes, generating improvement ideas, and implementing them. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace by performing regular cleaning of engineering areas and labs will be part of your responsibilities. Completing assigned projects with meticulous attention to detail and within deadlines is crucial. You will participate in the fabrication and assembly of production machines, including testing and modifying parts, which involves tasks such as drilling, tapping, welding, riveting, bending, grinding, sandblasting, and other related processes. Working collaboratively with team members across all levels of the organization, using strong communication and interpersonal skills, is essential. Conducting maintenance and troubleshooting of existing machinery and facility equipment will be part of your daily tasks.
