About the position

The Mechanical Engineer Intern position is designed for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields. The intern will work under the guidance of a Senior Engineer, contributing to the design and development of new products while supporting existing products. This role emphasizes hands-on experience in engineering tasks, including design analysis, CAD modeling, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a key member of a team working on projects of a large scope.
• Conduct design analysis and perform a variety of calculations and software-aided analysis.
• Review designs and cross-check dimensions of new and existing components.
• Execute design modifications and conceptual designs for rapid prototyping.
• Create CAD models and detailed drawings using Unigraphics or Solidworks.
• Independently write test requests to the test laboratory based on established procedures.
• Design new experiments and test systems.
• Perform or assist with testing of products.
• Analyze data and draw logical conclusions from experiments.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Good working technical discipline and ability to research new information quickly.
• Effective communication skills to convey technical status to the Engineering Supervisor and project team.
