About the position

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern who will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing mechanical products and systems. This role involves working on various mechanical structures, lifting mechanisms, heat transfer systems, exhaust control systems, airframes, HVAC, and piping, as well as conducting thermal and fluid mechanics analysis. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the greatest minds in the industry while contributing to innovative solutions that keep people safe.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and develop mechanical products and systems.
• Conduct thermal and fluid mechanics analysis.
• Work on mechanical structures, lifting mechanisms, heat transfer systems, exhaust control systems, airframes, HVAC, and piping.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD design tools (SolidWorks, CREO, or similar equivalent).
• Must be a US Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with 3D printing and engineering testing in a laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with advanced materials science.
• Experience leading in team environments.
