Mechanical Engineer Intern

About the position

Merrick & Company is offering a paid summer internship for Mechanical Engineering students, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on technical experience in the field. The internship will take place in one of the company's offices located in Greenwood Village, CO, Tulsa, OK, or Richmond, VA, and is designed for undergraduate or graduate students entering their junior year or higher. The program emphasizes professional training, skill development, and exposure to real client projects.

Responsibilities

• Gain technical experience in mechanical engineering.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and interface with clients and contractors.
• Follow schedules and budget commitments.
• Work independently and demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
• Problem solve and meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of an undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in graduate school.
• Pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
• U.S. Citizenship required for client projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous internship in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience or exposure to AutoCAD.
• Local candidates preferred.
