About the position
Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for the summer of 2025 in Toccoa, GA. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to engage with plant processes, tackle new challenges, and gain real-world experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Interns will work closely with experienced engineers and managers to support plant operations and achieve production goals while learning about the cement industry and its operations.
Responsibilities
- Support and participate in assigned project work to apply education in a practical setting.
- Assist plant operations in achieving production goals by collaborating with engineers, managers, and production staff.
- Complete summer projects to understand cement plant operations and drive efficiency.
- Learn about the mission of production, maintenance, and quality departments and their functions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.
Requirements
- Current juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
