About the position

The Mechatronic Engineer position at Gunnebo Entrance Control focuses on enhancing the Technical Department's capabilities in product introduction and support for various operational functions. The role involves design activities, collaboration with multiple departments, and ensuring the successful transfer of new products to the Lavis factory.

Responsibilities

• New product introduction (technical drawings/BOMs/instructions)
• Design Customizations for Security Product Range
• Participate in Value Engineering activities in a proactive and innovative way
• Set-up BOMs in cooperation with Purchasing
• Support Purchasing and Quality in Supply Chain Management and Development
• Support Production & LEAN functions whenever needed to reach optimum Operational performances
• Support other EC Technical Departments when required and planned

Requirements

• At least 3 years working experience in a similar role in a structured Company
• Experience with ERP systems (BOMs)
• University Degree in Mechanical / Materials Engineering (min 3 Years)
• Very good knowledge of CAD 2D and 3D (SolidWorks is a plus) design
• Proficient in MS Office and PDM environment
• Basic knowledge in automation engineering and electrical schematics
• Knowledge of metalwork design and basic knowledge of production processes (cutting, bending, forming, welding, finishing)
• Fluent in English and Italian
