About the position

The Mechanical Engineer position is crucial for a leading medical equipment manufacturer, focusing on the design and development of mechanical components for their products. The role involves overseeing the entire design process, from initial prototypes to final manufacturing, ensuring high precision and adherence to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Allocate 70% of time to design work and 30% to paperwork.
• Oversee the design process until the product is delivered to the customer.
• Handle all aspects of mechanical engineering for products.
• Design every mechanical component and interact with customers throughout the product qualification process.
• Develop prototypes for customer approval and finalize designs for manufacturing.
• Make adjustments after the product reaches the manufacturing stage.
• Use SolidWorks for 3D solid modeling and prototyping.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a design engineer, mechanical engineer, product engineer, or related roles.
• Experience designing highly precise parts with tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of motion control or linear motion control in designs.
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.
• Experience designing 3D solid models and prototypes.
• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and design of steel structures or weldments is a plus.
