About the position

Parsons is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and produce mechanical designs for federal government products and capabilities. This role involves applying engineering principles to various assignments, supporting hardware system design, and collaborating with teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Perform various engineering and design assignments applying basic principles and fundamental theories.
• Prepare fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
• Support the design of new or upgrade existing hardware systems.
• Assist with manufacturing, assembly, and testing of RF products.
• Prepare detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
• Assist in reviewing supplier drawing submittals and technical bid analyses under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• Provide input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

• 7 years of related work experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• US Citizenship is required
