About the position

In this role, you will serve as a Project Engineer, focusing on a variety of projects including industrial, educational, health care, and commercial facilities. Your primary responsibilities will involve working on HVAC systems, fire protection, piping, plumbing, and temperature controls. You will be integral to the planning and execution phases of projects, which includes cost development, scheduling, and coordination with various utilities and communication systems. Your ability to collaborate effectively with the project team and adhere to deadlines will be crucial for success in this position. As a Project Engineer, you will be expected to apply your technical expertise to ensure that all mechanical systems are designed and implemented according to industry standards and client specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical planning, layout, drafting, and detailing, as well as proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and REVIT. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects you oversee, making your role vital to the overall success of the engineering team and the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Engineer on HVAC, fire protection, piping, plumbing, and temperature controls projects.
  • Participate in planning, cost development, scheduling, and coordination with utilities and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines and ensure project success.
  • Apply knowledge of procedures for design and the production of construction documents.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and REVIT for mechanical planning and layout.

Requirements

  • P.E. certification is required.
  • 7+ years of HVAC, Mechanical Piping, and Plumbing Design experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering is required.
  • Knowledge of procedures for design and the production of construction documents is essential.
  • A thorough understanding of AutoCAD and REVIT is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of mechanical planning, layout, drafting, and detailing is preferred.
