About the position

The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the design of complex electrical systems, ensuring that projects meet both functional and regulatory standards. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including architectural clients and building owners, to deliver high-quality construction documents and facilitate the LEED certification process.

Responsibilities

• Support the company with the design of complex Electrical systems.
• Prepare 2 and 3-dimensional construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Prepare documents and calculations for the LEED certification process.
• Coordinate design efforts working closely with our in-house disciplines, architectural clients, and building owners.
• Diagnose problems and propose solutions.
• Plan project production process.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent protective device coordination and arc flash studies.
• Perform lighting calculations.
• Perform contract administration duties of site visits, submittal review and contractor assistance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• EIT required, PE beneficial
• LEED Accredited Professional (APBD+C) beneficial
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Four years experience in the Electrical consulting business (large systems), including power and lighting
• Laboratory and/or healthcare design experience a plus.
