About The Position
The Senior Mechanical Engineer position at our established engineering firm in Nashville, Tennessee, is a pivotal role that requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mechanical systems design and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing various engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves managing and supervising a team of internal design staff, guiding them in the total mechanical systems design for specific projects. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also coordinate with external design teams to ensure seamless integration of all project components. In addition to project management, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be tasked with performing critical mechanical systems design calculations, including hydraulic calculations, piping stress analysis, and energy/system modeling. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is essential, as this role will involve direct interaction with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored engineering solutions. The engineer will also assist in the preparation of project proposals, which includes writing project descriptions, compiling resumes, and other necessary documentation to secure new projects.
