About the position

The position involves defining and developing products used in semiconductor systems, overseeing multiple project responsibilities from the recognition of need through project completion. The role requires participation in new product development, cost reduction, and project management, ensuring that products meet customer needs and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in the development of new products and cost reduction.
• Participate in the development of Product Specification and produce conceptual designs.
• Guide the development process to produce practical designs and create detailed design drawings.
• Identify applicable standards and provide analysis of the design to those standards using engineering analysis tools.
• Review instruction manuals and product literature, and define and lead prototype development and lab and field tests.
• Work with manufacturing on process development and conduct design reviews, safety reviews, etc.
• Lead small new product development projects, completing project feasibility and Pre-Prod authorizations.
• Create and maintain project schedules and work effectively in a team environment.
• Participate in release-for-sale activities and provide periodic oral and written reports of project status.
• Manage projects to meet schedules, ensuring satisfactory completion of all steps in the development process and communicating issues to management.
• Participate in identifying new product opportunities by recognizing customer needs and evaluating products.
• Direct and perform standard product support activities, including analyzing and writing Engineering change orders and troubleshooting product problems.
• Stay abreast of developments in the technical field and apply knowledge of product lines and operational systems.

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent approved by divisional engineering management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent engineering/technical aptitude.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in new product development with a demonstrated ability to produce innovative designs.
• Ability to recognize customer product needs and market trends affecting product requirements.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with teams.
• Experience with project management and creating resources to track timelines.
• Excellent time management skills.
