Mechanical Engineer

About the position

The Mechanical Engineer position at a well-established manufacturer in Bowling Green, Kentucky, involves managing engineering project activities from concept to production. The role requires collaboration with various departments to develop new product concepts and enhance existing products, utilizing engineering principles and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering project activities and priorities from concept to production.
• Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams.
• Develop new product concepts or enhanced features for existing products using engineering principles and proprietary design tools.
• Create 3-D models, assemblies, and 2-D prints to validate concepts and communicate design intent.
• Specify and supervise product validation testing, documenting test results of standardized tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• 3-8 years' experience working with mechanical systems.
• Experience with CAD systems, preferably Solid Works.
• Familiarity with basic manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and work processes.
