About the position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design and develop innovative mechanical systems and components for low voltage switchboards and power generation equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks, 3D modeling, and a strong background in electrical and mechanical integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for low voltage switchboards and power generation equipment.
• Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design of components such as enclosures and panelboards.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct mechanical design reviews and provide feedback for improvements.
• Oversee component manufacturing processes and ensure quality standards are met.
• Develop and maintain documentation for mechanical designs, including specifications and assembly instructions.
• Utilize knowledge of NEC, ANSI, and UL standards for product compliance.
• Work on projects involving copper bus bars, circuit breakers, switchgear, and industrial controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in low voltage power systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D modeling software.
• Familiarity with UL891 standards and low voltage switchboards.
• Knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes and materials, including sheet metal and copper.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
