About the position

The Mechanical Engineer position involves supporting global large generator sets, managing pricing arrangements, and ensuring accurate bill of materials (BoMs) for various products. The role requires collaboration with marketing and product definition teams, as well as conducting virtual design reviews and audits. This position is essential for maintaining product support inquiries and technical documentation updates.

Responsibilities

• Support global large generator sets Pricelists and factory support
• Respond to Virtual Design Review Audit (VDRA) issues, both L5 and L3
• Update EHDs including Pricing Arrangements (PACN), print changes, order audits, and order updates
• Address product support inquiries related to model issues, TMI package data, and configuration issues
• Update Technical Construction Files (TCF) for marine and gas products
• Ensure accurate BoMs for all managed pricelists by maintaining EHDs
• Create new pricing arrangements and update existing ones to ensure accurate material lists on orders
• Collaborate with marketing and product definition teams on pricelist updates and route PLCNs as necessary

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience required
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field
• Experience with power generation and/or power distribution systems
• Hands-on experience with VISMOCKUP tool
• Hands-on experience with Creo tool
• Experience in Virtual Validation, Virtual Audits, and VDRA for Pricelist is an advantage
• Knowledge of Plant and Manufacturing Process is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with Caterpillar related tools HVC, EDS, Team center
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Discipline with experience in Virtual auditing and Virtual manufacturing is an advantage
• Presentation skills to interact with onsite engineers
• Familiarity with PACN, PLCN, CTS (Change Tracking System) preferred
• Familiarity with SAP, EOMP, CSQ, Shop change/Green sheet preferred
