We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our strategic office in New York City. In this role, the Mechanical Engineer will perform technical activities on assigned projects, ensuring adherence to discipline technical policies and procedures. The engineer will participate in the production of technical studies, investigations, and designs in support of assigned projects. They will seek guidance from Senior Engineers, Principal Engineers, and Chief Engineers to develop complex engineering solutions while making independent decisions for solutions of low to moderate complexity. The Mechanical Engineer will also provide technical production direction to Designers and CAD Operators, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical quality. The position involves ensuring that company technical policies and procedures are practiced during project execution, assisting in developing design approaches and concepts, and providing discipline-specific engineering for systems and designs. The Mechanical Engineer will delegate work tasks, collaborate with subordinate staff, and monitor and review delegated work for accuracy. Additionally, they will assist in executing technical training programs for design staff, develop proposals and presentations for clients, and coordinate project designs with other disciplines. The role also includes performing engineering studies and design analyses, reviewing shop drawings, conducting on-site inspections during construction, and using design software to prepare engineering documents. Active participation in professional organizations and client groups is encouraged to enhance the firm's technical reputation and image.
