About the position

The Mechanical Engineer position is part of the onsite Engineering Production Support (EPS) team, focusing on manufacturing and problem-solving within a production environment. The role involves reviewing design specifications and supporting vehicle production by addressing engineering-related issues and collaborating with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards and product requirements.
• Support vehicle production on 1st Shift by processing variances to support vehicle sales.
• Create Problem Reports detailing engineering-related issues with items in production.
• Liaise with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to develop solutions for production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 years of experience supporting engineering in a prototype or production environment.
• Experience with weldments, fabrication of machined parts, and assembly and integration of subsystems.
• Familiarity with military ground vehicles and relevant military and commercial design standards.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing and Configuration Management System.
• Familiarity with CREO and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Entry-level knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in mechanical engineering.
• Experience using 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo (Pro/Engineer, ProductView).
