The engineer will collaborate closely with various teams, including IT/OT, Operations Excellence, and Projects, to drive initiatives that improve plant operations and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement mechanical engineering projects to address plant needs.
- Lead root cause failure analysis related to equipment and implement corrective actions.
- Support maintenance and operations in the repair and selection of plant rotating equipment.
- Provide technical recommendations through data collection and analysis on rotating equipment.
- Partner with Operations and Maintenance to develop new reliability tools and capabilities.
- Problem solve and troubleshoot issues using innovative approaches to drive reliability initiatives.
- Support site transformation efforts towards predictive analytics on rotating equipment.
- Develop tools that convert data into actionable information for decision making.
- Support sustainability improvement efforts on site rotating equipment.
- Assist initiatives at other INVISTA sites in Texas through a Community of Practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical mechanical role.
Nice-to-haves
- 10+ years' experience in mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of compliance and engineering standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, OSHA, and other RAGAGEP).
- Experience with engineering software, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Experience applying statistical tools and performing reliability modeling.
- Experience reviewing quality of project deliverables and resolving technical issues.
