Responsibilities
- Prepare design documents for HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection using Revit for most projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and university design guidelines.
- Provide engineering calculations and analysis of mechanical systems with oversight from senior team members.
- Perform construction administration services including submittal reviews, punchlist inspections, and project closeout.
- Confirm existing conditions from drawing archives and site visits.
- Adhere to and assist in developing department standards.
- Develop and maintain project workbook using eBuilder.
- Participate in meetings with project managers, consulting architects and engineers, University stakeholders, and others.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Four years of mechanical design experience
- Proficiency in drafting mechanical systems (Revit preferred)
- Professional Engineer required (or ability to achieve within 6 months by comity)
