This role is pivotal in leading various product development initiatives for our next-generation Semiconductor Testers. In this position, you will be responsible for understanding key requirements and use cases by collaborating with Systems Engineering, Marketing, and other engineering teams. Your ability to devise innovative and technically sound solutions to complex engineering challenges will be essential. You will leverage your extensive experience and professional knowledge to navigate design decisions, document risks, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work towards achieving both mid and long-term goals, serving as a subject matter expert in your field. You will lead and collaborate with development teams, providing technical knowledge and guidance, ensuring clear communication, conducting trade-off analyses, managing project schedules, and overseeing change management processes. Your role will also involve producing concepts from high-level requirements, conducting various analyses, verifying designs through functional testing of prototypes, and defending your designs during reviews with peers and management. Additionally, you will perform structural analysis to support design efforts, utilizing both hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Collaborating effectively with our global supply base will be crucial to developing economically viable solutions for high-volume manufacturing. You will create assembly and detailed part drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards, ensuring that our products are not only innovative but also reliable under various thermal operating conditions. Long-term, you will influence the development of technical capability roadmaps and contribute as a subject matter expert across the company, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a high-performance engineering team.
