About the position
The position is for a highly creative mechanical design engineer to support the development of and to establish design concepts of mechanisms and structures. The role involves conducting trade studies, solid modeling, and preliminary analysis to develop solutions to technical problems while ensuring sound technical content that supports timely project milestones.
Responsibilities
- Utilize CAD software such as Creo to design mechanical components and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Create detailed schematics and drawings for manufacturing processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Apply knowledge of ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance in design and manufacturing.
- Continuously improve designs through feedback and iteration processes.
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of experience with design drafting standards in support of drawing definition and releasing thereof.
- At least 2-3 years of experience with Creo.
- At least 2-3 years of experience with 3D Models.
- At least 2-3 years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- At least 2-3 years of experience with Windchill and familiarity with PLM releases.
