About the position

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of products and systems within the semiconductor industry. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying problems, analyzing requirements, and employing engineering problem-solving techniques to create innovative solutions. You will be involved in the design and detailing of components made from metals, plastics, and ceramics, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers throughout various phases of project execution. Your work will encompass complex sub-systems and components, focusing on new product development, upgrades, and modifications of existing modules. You will manage the Bill of Materials (BOM), configuration management, and engineering change management throughout the product lifecycle. Additionally, you will perform hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structures, frames, modules, and components as required. Selecting standard OEM components such as bearings, O-rings, gearboxes, motors, and actuators will also be part of your responsibilities. You will prepare technical documentation, including manuals, instructions, reports, and maintenance sheets, to support the products you design.
